Bankruptcy Institute
The EBI provides Continuing Legal Education for attorneys and paralegals, and is an invaluable resource for the current state of the law in the bankruptcy and business law fields for both new and seasoned attorneys, as well as their paralegals and staff. Topics such as current bankruptcy cases, foreclosure law, mortgage defects, and tax issues in bankruptcy cases are covered, as well as sessions on law office management, professional ethics, and substance abuse and mental health awareness. Buzzy Stubbs served as a Board Member of the EBI since its inception and has served as the Executive Director from 1995 to 2024. North Carolina State Bar Certified Paralegal Norma Wygand serves as Program Director, and has overseen the planning and successful execution of the Seminar since 1994. EBI was established in 1973.
