EBI is North Carolina's most diverse community of bankruptcy professionals. Each year the most pressing topics concerning areas of bankruptcy law are shared during a scheduled EBI session This event allows invaluable networking along with interesting case studies .
The EBI provides Continuing Legal Education for attorneys and paralegals, and is an invaluable resource for the current state of the law in the bankruptcy and business law fields for both new and seasoned attorneys, as well as, their paralegals and staff. Topics such as current bankruptcy cases, foreclosure law, mortgage defects, and tax issues in bankruptcy cases are covered, as well as sessions on law office management, professional ethics, and substance abuse and mental health awareness. Attendees also benefit from remarks from the current bankruptcy judges for the Eastern District of North Carolina, in addition to hearing from highly respected practitioners in the business and bankruptcy arenas.
